At first sight.

Yesterday's late night movie was inspirational & romantic.
I believe in miracles,it does happen but it comes only happen once in a lifetime.

MOVIE REVIEW

It is story of a young woman named Amy who is an architect who falls in love with a blind man. Virgil has lost his eyesight completely at the age of 3. He has a sister, Jenny who is his only family. She cares for Virgil in every sense, giving him every attention he needed.

Virgil is a successful masseur in their small New England resort town. What rocks his tiny world is a tense young woman (Amy) whom he relaxes with a deep massage. For Amy, it's a truly love at first sight until she realized that he was blind in their second meeting. Even though, at his blind state, she has fallen for him. Virgil feels that he finally found someone who needs him as much as he needs her.

She encourages him to undergo a radical operation to restore his sight,
Skeptical and frightened by the unknown, Virgil balks. But even more fearful of losing the woman he loves, he undergoes the operation and miracle happens. He is able to regain his eyesight and experience what others see. Regaining eyesight after some three decades without it is as puzzling as it is traumatic to him. Virgil has to learn to associate the images with his other perceptions of what he's seeing. Whenever he encounters a mirror, he's dumbfounded, peering like a dog around behind it to see where the reflection is.

Learning to see is as much a metaphor here for Virgil to learn to live and learn to love. He believed that his truest vision comes from the love he finds in his heart.
